A temporary work restraint system is made up of components that are designed when used accordingly to prevent the worker from falling, but are reliant upon the user’s constant adjustment to ensure that the connecting component between harness and anchorage point is adjusted to restrict his movement beyond the safe area into a fall hazard such as the edge of a slab.

When installed the Work Restraint system provides a high level of safety for workers when operating in area with unprotected leading edges.

Highly Durable adjustable Work Restraint Lanyard manufactured from 25mm polyester webbing .

The User will alter the length of the lanyard to provide restraint by adjusting the buckle.

Fitted with a 10mm karabiner at one end for connection to front and rear harness anchorage points and a Large Hook for attaching to Scaffolding guardrails at the other.

  • Fitted with 10mm karabiners (EN362) at each end for compatibility with Scissorsafe anchorages.
  • Steel connectors are anti-corrosion plated and tested to EN362.

Fall arrest is the form of fall protection which involves the safe stopping of a person who is already falling, in other words, the system stops a worker’s fall that has already occurred.
Fall Arrest components are designed to prevent impact at a lower level and to protect the fall victim by decelerating the rate of the fall.

A Fall Arrest Lanyard performs the deceleration by means of an Energy Absorber, designed with a specially-woven inner core that smoothly expands to reduce fall arrest forces and includes a heavy-duty back-up safety strap.

Fall Arrest or Energy Absorbing Lanyards should be connected directly to the Anchorage Point, ideally positoned above the user’s head.

In the event of a fall, the energy absorber will deploy, reducing the force on the user to <6kN.

Fall Arrest or Energy Absorbing Lanyards should only be attached to the front and rear D rings on the user’s harness .
