Fall Protection refers to anything that can fall, whether it’s a person, debris, tool or piece of equipment.
A Tool Lanyard is a tether that is designed to act as an intermediate device between the tool and the anchor point ( wrist strap,harness, belt bag etc.). They allow a tool to be used freely whilst maintaining a direct connection that will arrest the fall if they are accidentally dropped in use.

The Work at Height Regulations (2005) state that:
The employer shall, take suitable steps to prevent the fall of an object to prevent injury to any person being struck by any falling material or object which is liable to cause personal injury.
