 The new innovative RGH5 Glow is designed for use as a  confined space access harness with new reflective yarn  woven into the webbing – the first of its kind providing unprecedented levels of visibility in low light areas. 

The front and rear attachment points can be used as standard fall arrest points and the rescue strap can be used for lifting and lowering.

The rescue strap can also be used in certain fall arrest situations. Improved with a new, additional D ring for rear attachment, longer webbing and refined hook and eye fastening that is easier to disband in the event of a rescue.

This harness is also available with quick release buckles.

A Rescue Harness is chosen as opposed to a standard harness when the wearer is working in confined spaces. 

It is fitted with an overhead rescue attachment and connector which prevents the body from leaning during hoisting, keeping the body in a vertical position for lifting and moving through and out of tight opening’s and confined spaces or from the external perimeters of structures.This Rescue Harness is manufactured from durable 45mm polyester with anti-corrosive plated steel fittingsTwo attachment point’s in the form of front and rear D Ring’s, and an overhead rescue attachment.It has adjustment on leg loops, Chest strap and shoulder straps via spring loaded floating bar buckles.

The SWL is 136Kg.The overhead rescue attachment is tested to EN1497:2007 and has also been tested to EN361:2002 as a fall arrest attachment point.

Premium quality fall arrest safety harness manufactured from 45mm Webbing with rear and front fall arrest ‘D’ ring attachment points.

Long adjustment lengths on Leg loops, chest strap and shoulder straps mean that one size fits all wearers from Medium – X Large.   Elasticated loops are fitted to the shoulder strap and chest strap assemblies then tail ends’ can be retained neatly.

SAFETY INFORMATION

Wearers of Fall Arrest Safety Harnesses should be trained in its safe use and the applications it is designed to be used in. This should include the fit and adjustment, selection of attachment devices and selection of a suitable anchor point.

Fall protection equipment made from synthetic fibres should be inspected by the User prior to use each and every time it is used and should be subjected to a Detailed Inspection by a competent person at least every 6 months. The competent person carrying out the Detailed Inspection should have special training to inspect fall protection PPE.

What to look for when inspecting a scissorsafe safety harness with front & rear attachment points?
Examine the SAFETY HARNESS carefully , Connect the harness buckles and hold it up by the shoulder straps to ensure it hangs evenly.

Examples of defects and damage
The following defects and damage have the potential to result in the degradation and/or weakening of webbing & components.

  • Cuts, tears, nicks or abrasions of 1mm or more at the edges of webbing.
  • Surface abrasion across the face of the webbing and at the webbing loops, particularly if in one area.
  • Broken, abraded, pulled or loose stitch patterns.
  • Knotted webbing other than those intended by the manufacturer.
  • Visible evidence of chemical attack, often indicated by flaking of the surface or discolouration of the fibres.
  • Heat or friction damage indicated by fibres with a glazed appearance which may feel harder than surrounding fibres.
  • UV-degradation which is di cult to visually identify, there may be some loss of colour (if dyed) and a powdery surface.
  • Dirt contamination which may result in internal or external abrasion.
  • Malfunctioning, damaged, deformed or corroded fittings karabiners and screwlink connectors.
